Pediatric Care

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) all recommend establishing a "dental home" for your child by the time they are 1 year old. The health of an infant’s teeth is actually established by the mother’s nutrition, as teeth begin developing while the baby is in the womb. Children’s primary or baby teeth first come in when they’re as young as 6 months old. Visits to the dentist can start at a much younger age than most people would believe. Babies can, for example, develop bottle-induced cavities. A pediatric dentist is specially trained to treat cases like these.
